Blizzard Juno

Last week we experienced our first blizzard! I was actually kind of excited for it as long as our power didn't go out. Luckily it didn't! We got over 2 feet of snow and it was fun watching Walter play in it and trying to run around in it myself. Also, snow angels in that much snow are pretty fun. The snow was so powdery and light compared to the slushy snow we had gotten a couple days before. On Monday we got about another foot of snow. There's tons of snow everywhere and more is coming this week. I'm pretty sure we're going to float away once it all melts.

We live at the end of a dead end street and are one of the few houses that actually have a driveway. Since it's a dead end the plows pushed all the snow in front of our driveway. Yay! John spent a couple hours digging a path big enough for the cars to get through and now every time it snows we just have to make sure we don't get blocked in again. So aside from our driveway situation and not being able to walk Walter since there are no sidewalks anymore we've enjoyed all the snow. Ellie hasn't been in the snow yet since all she could do is crawl around. I figure we'll wait till she can at least walk in it.

Of course the plows pushed a lot of the snow on our side of the street too.

Here's some video of Walter running through the snow just to give you an idea of how deep it is. His favorite thing to do now is dig deep holes and bury his face in the snow. He's so silly.
