Waterfire

John and I finally got a table and chairs! We no longer eat at a card table that shakes as you cut a piece of meat on your plate. It's sturdy and big. It's pretty great!
We got the table for $40 and the chairs for $10. The chairs need some work, but they were super cheap. Not bad for $50 total, eh?
Okay, now on to Waterfire. There is a canal that runs through downtown Providence and every once in a while they light bonfires on the canal. You can ride a gondola down the canal as instrumental music is blasted through downtown, or you can just walk along the canal. Waterfire mostly happens during the summer, but they did one for Veterans day. It was the first time we went. It was cool walking around the city with a campfire smell in the air.

Some of the pictures are blurry. Night photography is difficult.

They were handing out glow sticks and gave us one for Walter. He wouldn't stay still for a picture though.

This is a war memorial park next to the canal.

This is the main area.

There's just something so pretty about fire reflecting on water.
