On Saturday June 29, John, Walter and I went to Boston. We went to do a little bit of the Freedom Trail and to let Walter get acquainted with Crystal's apartment since he would be staying there the next week while we went out of town. Once Walter was comfy in his crate and ready for a nap we headed out to Charlestown to see Bunker Hill and the U.S.S. Constitution.
Bunker Hill was pretty cool. You can climb the stairs to the top of the monument, but most people say it's not worth it.
John and I are standing by Capt. William Prescott. He's the one that said, "Do not fire until you see the whites of their eyes!"
Next we walked down to the Naval Base where the U.S.S. Constitution is docked. We had to wait in line a while, but it's a great tour so it's definitely worth the wait.

| "Old Ironsides" became famous during the War of 1812 during a battle with the British when cannonballs bounced off her oak hull. |

The U.S.S Constitution is the world's oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat. It was first launched in 1797 and they still take her out multiple times a year.
After our little dose of American History we walked to Boston's North End and ate some delicious Italian food. I got Lobster Ravioli which was delicious! John got Gnocchi and Crystal got this Chicken Marsala dish that neither one of us really cared for (the sauce was too sweet or something).
When we got back to Crystal's apartment we all went outside to give Walter a potty break and got locked out. Crystal's roommates were gone and would not be home for an hour at the earliest. We sat in her yard for a while then decided to walk a couple of blocks and get some ice cream. The ice cream shop had 2 tables outside so we ate our massive amount of ice cream while people gawked at how cute Walter is. Then 3 more dogs showed up with their families to get ice cream. It was quite the little party and Walter was having a blast.
After a long and exciting day we drove home and Walter slept on John's lap the whole way home. He was one pooped pooch.
